Diesel Indicator U170

Main purpose with this instrument is to isolate the spring from the effects of heat.Experiments undertaken by the Royal Navy in the 1840s indicate that this instrument has been of great intrest for many years.
This one is manafactured by firma Dreyer, Rosenkrantz and & Dropp who was one of Three manufacturer in Germany about 1915.
The other was Schaeffer & Budenburg of Buckau bei Magdeburg and Maihak

Nice wooden box with Nr markings and eagle.
Note Rudolf Muhlbauer was also on duty at this U170 and there is also a book written about U170 se (attched photo)
